Child Predators - How Do You Really Know?

This post is re-posted from Warriors For Innocence. Please Visit the Site to Learn More, or tune in Wednesday, December 19, 2007 to Political Pistachio Radio, to learn more about this fight against the monsters that hunt our children.

By Sues from Warriors of Innocence dot Org.

I’m often asked, “How can I spot a child predator, pedophile, or child molester? How do I really know?”After reading our Grooming Articles, you’ll have some really great information at your fingertips that will help you recognize the behaviors of these predators.

Education really is the key to preventing these monsters from gaining access to our children. These guys rely on you NOT knowing how they operate and act. Our goal is to stop that from happening.

So how do you really know if someone is a threat? The problem is, you don’t. You can suspect, deter, and prevent, but you may never really know. Child predators are master manipulators and expert liars. They befriend the parents only so they can access their children.

You can’t point your finger at everyone who has the traits of a child predator. But you can trust your instincts and your gut. If it feels wrong, or if someone is suspicious, then keep them away from your children. Keeping your kids safe does not require labeling someone as a pedophile.

80-95% of all child abuse goes unreported. Children do not feel comfortable talking about abuse. Predators use this and will groom the child and manipulate them into not reporting it. It is not unusual for the child to develop feelings for the predator, and to want their approval. They will give up their ability to tell good from bad. This will end up justifying the molester’s behavior. Children are vulnerable and not physically capable of stopping abuse. Parents need to be the barrier that protects the children from predators.

Remember, in most cases, either the child or the parent knows the abuser. Don’t accept inappropriate behavior from anyone. Ever. Do not be confused by charm, intimidation, or justification. Don’t let others control the situation or cross the line of acceptable behavior. Learning to say “no” in a polite but assertive manner will not hinder friendships. It will, however, deter molesters. Child molesters will not waste their time on parents who refuse to accept their charm.

Predators have had the advantage for far too long. It’s time that we all stand up and do something to stop them.

Read all of our Grooming Articles here.

Once Again, the author of this piece, and the owner of Warriors For Innocence, will be my guest on Political Pistachio Radio on Wednesday, December 19th at 10pm Eastern Time. Be educated! Do Not Miss This Broadcast!

Iran Did Not Abandon Nuclear Weapons Ambitions in 2003!

Did any of you believe that recent U.S. intel report that stated Iran suspended its nuclear weapons ambitions in 2003? Neither did Israel. In fact, Israel has "incriminating" information Iran has continued its nuclear weapons program, directly contradicting last week's U.S. Intelligence Report. In fact, an Israeli security official who has access to classified Israeli defense material and intelligence reports on Iran says that Iran is also continuing the acquisition and development of missiles, and that the U.S. estimates fall way short. He also adds that he believes the U.S. intel is "politically motivated."

The official has further stated that Israel is "gravely concerned" that the U.S. Intelligence Report may remove the U.S. military option against Iran from the table, and is likely to be the foundation for Russian and Chinese vetoes against further sanctions on Iran scheduled to be discussed December 11th at the United Nations. This official said these things to a gentleman by the name of Aaron Klein.

Aaron Klein is the Jerusalem bureau chief for www.worldnetdaily.com and will be discussing the NIE and Iranian nuclear ambitions live from Israel on Political Pistachio Radio this coming Wednesday, December 12th, 2007.

You don't want to miss this interview!

Tune in at 10pm Eastern Time on Wednesday night live at Political Pistachio Radio - and join the chat room if you dare. Aaron will be on for about 20 to 25 minutes, and then after he departs from the show, callers will be welcome to chime in to discuss the interview. You may call into the show live at 646-652-2940 after the interview. Also, if you wish to forward questions during the interview that you would like me to ask Aaron Klein, you may send them to me by Yahoo Instant Messenger, ID douglasvgibbs, or send it in the chat room.

Who Is Your Candidate for 2008?

Red November is the goal, and the election is less than a year away. But do you really know which candidate best fits your criteria?

To my surprise, after taking the Select A Candidate Quiz, it turns out that Tancredo best fits what I expect from a candidate. Huckabee, a candidate I have indicated I think fits my mold, wasn't even in my top five. Hunter and Thompson were my number two and three.

What is Doug talking about?

Go HERE for the Select A Candidate Quiz and find out for yourself - Then, tune in tonight to Political Pistachio Radio and join myself, Mrs. Pistachio, and Josh P. Allem in a discussion about the quiz, how the candidates answered, and what we think was the best responses to the questions.

Broadcast airs live tonight at 10pm Eastern Time on Political Pistachio Radio.

Ricky and Lucy and Josh

Last night on Andrea Shea King's show Josh P. Allem called in just past the halfway mark and decided to get involved in a conversation about the Council on Foreign Relations - and what follows is one of the funniest things you will ever hear. Check it out, it is hilarious.

-----------------------------------------

Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio Mrs. Pistachio and myself will be discussing the hubbub about Teddy Bears named Muhammad, Hugo Chavez's disappointments, Why the NFL has decided to be unpatriotic at a Monday Night Game, or why saying "Allah Dammit" is funny. Tune in, we'll discuss this and more - just like Ricky and Lucy? Show begins at 10 pm Eastern Time.

Tomorrow night Josh P. Allem will join the show as my guest. We will discuss questions posed to the candidates, and what they should have said - Thursday's broadcast of Political Pistachio Radio also begins at 10pm Eastern Time.

Monday, December 3, 2007

Mrs. Pistachio Speaks Out

Abortion, The Death Penalty, and the CNN - YouTube Debate

On Thursday the plan for the broadcast of Political Pistachio Radio was to have Governor James Gilmore on the show to talk about his candidacy for the U.S. Senate. Governor Gilmore did not confirm, nor call in, but I decided we should talk about his campaign anyhow.

At the beginning of the show the Republican CNN - YouTube Presidential Debate was brought up and eventually, so was abortion. The whole show was all about abortion because Mrs. Pistachio says, "Why are men making decisions on a woman's issue?"

Listen, the interaction between Mrs. Pistachio and myself if interesting - since we do not agree 100% on this particular issue.

-------------------

Then, today at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern I will address last Wednesday's Republican Debate on CNN hosted by Anderson Cooper - and I will specifically key in on "The Death Penalty - What Would Jesus Do?" So tune in tonight to Political Pistachio Radio and hear what the candidates should have said!

Red November Week on PPR

Red November week begins this coming Saturday, November 24th, 2007 (@ 7pm Eastern Time), as we welcome a panel of experts involved in a grassroots effort to assist Sarah Palin procure a spot as the Vice Presidential running mate of whoever gains the Republican Nomination for President of the United States. The panel will include Adam Brickley, Steve Maloney, and Trish Houser. Trish will be a first time participant on Political Pistachio Radio, and she is also a member of Sarah Palin's campaign for her 2006 successful run for Governor of Alaska. If there is a conservative that best fits what conservatives are currently looking for in the Republican Party, Sarah is it. Oh, and I have sent an e-mail to Sarah offering her to call into the show. One never knows.

On Wednesday, November 28th, William Russell, Iraq War Veteran and Congressional Candidate in the 12th District of Pennsylvania will join us to discuss his candidacy, and his opponent, Democrat John "Our Marines are Cold Blooded Killers" Murtha. This will be our second attempt to have Mr. Russell on the show. Last time, due to unforseen circumstances, he was unable to join us. However, after numerous conversations with William Russell, he is looking forward to joining us on the 28th at 10pm Eastern Time. Won't you join us too?

On July 21st, 2007, immediately after declaring that he was withdrawing from the Republican U.S. Presidential nomination, Governor James Gilmore was our guest on Political Pistachio Radio. Now, Governor Gilmore has decided to run for the Senate. I have e-mailed him, requesting that he join us on Thursday, November 29th at 10pm Eastern Time. He has not responded yet, but regardless of whether or not he joins us, Thursday's show will be dedicated to his campaign, and why it is so important that he win the election in what media has labeled "Clash of the Titans 2008" as Gilmore takes on former Democrat Governor Mark Warner for the honor of succeeding U.S. Sen. John Warner. A video Biography and announcement of his campaign are now available on my Political Pistachio Videos site.

50th Show on Tuesday!

A year ago I called into My Point Radio after finding out from Phil (NightRider) that one of the hosts, Jenn, mentioned the Political Pistachio Blog on their radio show. This was my first taste of Blog Talk Radio.

February 24, 2007 was the date that I launched Political Pistachio as a radio show - and now it is time to celebrate the 50th episode. Who else, then, to have as my guests than Dave and Jenn?

Enjoy the show on Tuesday at 10pm Eastern Time/7pm Pacific on Political Pistachio Radio.

And coming up later on Thursday, November 8, we have Jay Lakin, co-owner and V.P. of Poker Source Online to talk about gambling in America (won't this be interesting).

Saturday's show will be a special pre-Veteran's Day show.

Then on Tuesday, November 14th, The Baron and his lady will visit Political Pistachio. That's right, the bloggers from The Gates of Vienna will join us!

Wednesday, November 15th, our guest will be William Russell, the Republican that will be going up against John Murtha!

The Day I Died

There is no special guest planned for November 3rd on Political Pistachio Radio. I plan to be my own guest. But, it will be a special show. You see, on July 1, 1985 an event occurred that changed my life forever. I died.

Mrs. Pistachio and I had been married for less than a year, and our son was three months old. I died on the scene of the accident at 1:30 AM. I was not found for a while. It is estimated that I stopped breathing for a full twenty minutes, ensuring that major brain damage occurred. They resuscitated me on the Life Flight helicopter to the hospital, which was over 30 miles away. I remained in intensive care in a deep coma for a week and a half, requiring a respirator to breath, draining spinal fluid from my cracked skull for the first three days. I remained "out of it" for two more months, experiencing 80 seizures per day once I became cognizant. I had to learn how to walk again, and it took two years to fully recover.

On November 3rd I will tell my story to my audience, and have my wife on the air to tell her side of it too. Listeners will not want to miss this tale of miracles and true love between my wife and I as we struggled through this storm in our life.

The broadcast will air live on Political Pistachio at 7pm Eastern Time, 4pm Pacific on Saturday, November 3, 2007.

Stopping Hillary and the Marxists of the Democratic Party

How important is the hunt for a Red November in 2008? As discussed on The Andrea Shea King Show earlier this evening, is the need to keep the Socialists that call themselves Democrats urgent enough to place a Liberal in Elephant's clothing, like Rudy Giuliani, on the ballot, since he seems the best candidate capable of attracting the all-important swing votes?

As a Conservative, that seems a compromise that I don't wish to make - but is it the necessary move to keep someone like Hillary Clinton out of the White House?

Tuesday Night my guest is Trek Medic. He will join us to talk about the need for a Red November, and what steps must be taken to ensure such a move. Live broadcast begins at 10pm Eastern Time, 7pm Pacific on Political Pistachio Radio.

Christian Radio hosted from Sin City

Did you miss Andrea Shea King's Monday Night Blog Talk Radio Show?

Well, judging by the picture on the right, Andrea is someone to listen to. She's a big voice in conservative talk radio - and any friend of Sean Hannity's is a friend of mine.

Well, actually I became a fan long before I discovered she has a few wonderful friends in high places. And, she discovered me before she was absolutely sure what the heck a Political Pistachio truly was.

And now we have really come together on Monday nights. That's right, if you are new to Political Pistachio, I co-host with Andrea Shea King on Monday nights on Blog Talk Radio. But honestly, as much as I enjoy the show, this last one was the best yet. We discussed the Southern California Fires, and the Republican Debate in Florida, and what a great broadcast it turned out to be. But don't take my word for it. Check out the archive at Blog Talk Radio - The Andrea Shea King Show!

And while you are at it, check out this upcoming schedule for Political Pistachio!

The Next Four Broadcasts on Political Pistachio Radio are going to blow you away!

Twenty six words, beginning with God, and ending with life. The human problem, according to Max Lucado, and the Biblical teachings he holds so dear, is the heart of the human. God's treatment plan for fixing this problem begins with John 3:16.

The Sky's Not Falling!

Al Gore has won the Nobel Peace Prize for junk science. This award comes to him shortly after a British judge ruled that Al Gore told a string of untruths in An Inconvenient Truth, and that children should be warned about these untruths before a teacher shows the documentary in the classroom.

Al Gore pleads in his new book, The Assault on Reason (which is more of an assault on the Bush Administration than it is about science), that "We must stop tolerating the rejection and distortion of science. We must insist on an end to the cynical use of pseudo-studies known to be false for the purpose of intentionally clouding the public's ability to discern the truth."

Perhaps Mr. Gore should follow his own advice.

Holly Fretwell agrees with Mr. Gore on the point about the need to stop tolerating the distortion of science. Holly is the author of "The Sky's NOT Falling! Why It's OK to Chill About Global Warming," the alternative to Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth, and Laurie David's fear inducing global warming kid's book, "Down to Earth Guide to Global Warming."

Holly Fretwell is an adjunct professor at Montana State University, and a Research Fellow at the Property and Environment Research Center. No stranger to controversial issues, Professor Fretwell has consulted on timber export regulations in the Pacific Northwest and for the Center for International Trade in Forest Products. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles on natural resources issues, with a current emphasis on public lands management and educating students and teachers in environmental economics. Her articles have been published in both professional journals and the popular press, including the Wall Street Journal, Journal for Environmental Economics and Management, the Duke Environmental Law and Policy Forum, and Journal of Forestry.

Professor Fretwell is our guest tonight on a special Friday Night edition of Political Pistachio Radio at 10 PM Eastern Time, 7 PM Pacific. Call in to chime in at 646-652-2940. If you listen live, feel free to join the always jumping chatroom - or you can feel free to contact me during the show with your own questions on Yahoo Instant Messenger (ID: douglasvgibbs).

This special broadcast of Political Pistachio Radio will immediately follow the premier of CIR Radio, on which I will be a panel member. This show combines the talents of myself, Jenn of Jenn's Jungle Republic Radio, Dave from My Point Radio, and Nikki Starr of Nicki Rocks the Politics. It will air live at 9 PM Eastern Time, 6 PM Pacific.

Schmoozing With Terrorists and battling the illegal alien invasion

Three guests tonight will join Mrs. Pistachio and myself on Political Pistachio Radio. First, during the first segment of the show, we will be joined by Aaron Klein, author of "Schmoozing With Terrorists." Mr. Klein is an American journalist who had unprecedented access to jihad cells throughout the Middle East, and in those interviews performed by Aaron the terrorists revealed the details of their ideologies to him. By the way, Mr. Klein is a Jew. One listener will win a free copy of Mr. Klein's book - tune in to find out how!

Then, in the later part of the first half hour Terry Funderburk will pay us a return visit to talk about what has happened in his situation since the last time he was on our show. Terry is a South Carolina construction business owner who is going out of business because his competitors hire illegal aliens, thus pay lower wages to their workers. Terry, then, upset by the circumstances, protested with a sign in front of one of his competitors jobsites with a sign that indicated illegals were working on that job site. The police came, but not to take away the illegal aliens, but to arrest Mr. Funderburk.

Then, during the second half of the broadcast Mike Gray will call in to talk about his situation in Colorado. Mike Gray is an employee for Arapahoe County outside of Denver. When he is not at work for the county, he runs his own lawn care business. The truck he uses for his business is the same truck and trailer he uses for going to work at his day job with the county of Arapahoe. The sign on his trailer reads, "Lawn Services done with Pride by an English Speaking American." Because of the sign, his bosses at his job for the county threatened to let him go. Oh, he likes to wear a Border Patrol Cap too, by the way.

Dr. Blogstein, and True Americans Battle the Illegal Alien Invasion

On a lighter note, Saturday, 29th (that would be today) is the day that Dr. Blogstein visits Political Pistachio Radio. His comedy mixed with my political prowess will be interesting to listen to indeed. Tune in at 7pm Eastern Time/4pm Pacific for the fun at Political Pistachio Radio on Blog Talk Radio.

Do you know who Mike Gray is? Mike Gray is that lawn care worker that got in trouble for his sign last year. The Border Patrol hat wearing business owner advertised that his business was "Done with Pride by an English Speaking American!" However, his other job, Arapahoe County in Colorado, didn't like the sign, nor did the local bureaucrats, who, fearing someone might be offended, ordered Mike to can the sign (and the hat). Mike Gray decided to go get a lawyer instead. Well, guess what? Mike is my guest this Wednesday night on Political Pistachio Radio! And, as an added treat, Terry Funderburk, the South Carolina Roofer that claims his competitors are putting him out of business by hiring illegals, and was arrested for protesting at a job site where illegals were working, has indicated that he plans to chime in as well. Wednesday at 10 pm Eastern, 7 pm Pacific, will be a good night for Political Pistachio Radio, and a bad night for the illegal aliens.

Delaware State University Shooting

How much do you know about the recent shooting that happened on a Delaware college campus that left two wounded? Was this shooting related to the other shooting of incoming Delaware State students that were shot execution style at an elementary school in New Jersey by illegal immigrants? Was there any connection between this shooting and the rally organized to honor the so-called Jena Six the night before? Is the fact that Delaware State University is historically a black college a factor? Considering that this comes four months after the Virginia Tech shooting, would it have been worse if awareness was not higher in the wake of Virginia Tech? Or is this just another example of our society and its ever increasing spiral towards violence?

Tonight on my radio show I have scheduled John Zmirak, editor-in-chief of "Choosing the Right College", which outlines 134 colleges nationwide on the security on each campus, as well as the academic and social life on campus, to discuss the shooting at Delaware State University. He is a college security expert, and may be able to answer those questions, as well as inform us about the details regarding the stories of these shootings.

Tune in tonight on Political Pistachio Radio at 10pm Eastern Time, 7pm Pacific for a live feed. Participation is encouraged. Call into the show at (646) 652-2940, or contact me during the show with your questions through Yahoo Instant Messenger, ID douglasvgibbs.

Brad Lord-Leutwyler

My guest today on Political Pistachio Radio is Brad Lord-Leutwyler. Brad is running for President of the United States, and based on what he had to say on last Wednesday's Episode of my radio show, he is an ardent supporter of the war against terror, and of our current presence on the battlefield of Iraq.

However, there are a few social issues we don't see eye to eye on. Two questions need to be answered. Why is he liberal on a few of the social issues? And do they really matter when confronted by an enemy such as Radical Islamism?

Tune in and find out live at 7pm Eastern Time, 4pm Pacific on Political Pistachio Radio.

Where Are They Now?

A little less than a year ago Jenn of the Jungle mentioned Political Pistachio on My Point Radio, an internet radio show on Blog Talk Radio. She was impressed by a piece I wrote regarding abortion, and the slaughter of unborn children in the United States was brought up on the radio show that day. So, she mentioned my site, and then Phil (the Night Rider) decided to check out my site. He later then sent me an e-mail telling me he liked Political Pistachio, and that he had heard about it on the radio. After a little investigating, I figured out he meant that he heard about my site on internet radio. Then, after a guest spot on MyPoint Radio, and a few other shows, I decided to tackle the internet radio thing myself.

Political Pistachio Radio premiered on February 24th, 2007 on Blog Talk Radio. My first five episodes were without guests. I ran the shows myself, with the assistance of Mrs. Pistachio, and the improvement slowly grew. Honestly, thought, the first three shows sucked, but I guess that's how we learn. After a while, you just get sick of sucking and figure out how to do it better.

Then, on the sixth show, March 31, 2007, Bushwack from American And Proud joined us to tell us about his experience at the Gathering of Eagles rally in Washington D.C. Numbers were a little better than before, and I thought to myself, hey, there might be something to this having guests thing after all.

Well, I had a few more shows without guests, and a few more with guests, and then the guests began to contact me and ask if they could be on the show. Heck, I'm not one to turn away a guest, normally (though Tom is still waiting for an A-OK), so I brought them on. And the show got so busy that I had to go to two shows per week.

Now, let' take a look at some of the past guests and see how they are doing since being on the show. To tell you the truth, many of them are doing quite well. Surprisingly well.

Gary W. Moore: Gary wrote a book called Playing With The Enemy, and seriously, it is probably the best book you will ever read. He's been on the show twice now, and his humble beginnings have spawned a major motion picture based on the book that will be in theaters on Father's Day of 2008. And when he can tell us the name of the big stars in the flick, Political Pistachio (and her sister sites at Townhall, Yahoo360, and MySpace) readers and listeners will be the first to know.

Loki called into Political Pistachio Radio on May 12, 2007, when the separation of church and state was brought up, and then explained why it is false when people claim such separation of church and state is in the United States Constitution. He now hosts The Halls of Valhalla at Blog Talk Radio.

Paul Couturier first appeared on Political Pistachio Radio as a guest on May 19th. He is a veteran of the Iraq War, which was the main reason at the time he was asked to be on the show. Paul has since become a radio host himself over at Independently Correct Radio, and through his involvement with The Gathering of Eagles, has been chosen to host the upcoming Gathering of Eagles television show.

Lee Culpepper appeared on Political Pistachio Radio on May 26, 2007 to discuss the state of the pulic education system. The show was a great success, and stirred a lot of debate regarding the voucher idea, private schools, and homeschooling. Culpepper is a Marine turned teacher with a blog over at townhall. Now, Townhall has chosen him to also be one of their columnists. Read his first article as a columnist HERE.

Cary Cartter is a fellow blogger, and is running for president. He first appeared on Political Pistachio Radio on June 2, 2007, and will return on October 6th. He is a Christian Conservative whose campaign is growing rapidly. Tune in on the 6th to hear where he stands on the issues.

Rob Ballister and Jeff Edwards are authors with unique books on the market at this time. Rob's is God does have a sense of humor, and was brought on to talk about his survival of cancer. At the time of that episode of Poltical Pistachio Radio, I had just discovered that my son had cancer. Jeff Edwards joined Political Pistachio on June 23rd, and his book, Torpedo, is the best military novel I have read, hands down. Beats the heck out of Clancy, and the story moves much faster than Clancy's too.

Bob Anderson from What Are We Fighting For! visited Political Pistachio Radio on July 30, and is considering his own Blog Talk Radio show.

Paul Ibbetson is the author of Living Under the Patriot Act: Educating a Society. Since appearing on Political Pistachio Radio on July 7th, has become a radio host himself, and on terrestrial radio - FM to be exact. His show is called The Conscience of Kansas with Paul A. Ibbetson.

John Bootie's campaign is in full swing, and he is planning on returning soon to Political Pistachio Radio.

Governor Jim Gilmore came on Political Pistachio Radio after he withdrew from the presidential race to discuss why he withdrew, and why it is so important for our nation to return to Conservative Principles. He also blogs at Decision Virginia. When on the show he hinted at running for the Senate, but no declaration has been made yet.

Steve Maloney, the National Coordinator for Sarah Palin (Governor of Alaska) continues to blog about Sarah, and become more and more involved.

Richard Michael Smith is still in the race for President.

John Kanaley joined Political Pistachio Radio shortly before a special election for the House of Representatives. He is an Iraq War Veteran running for office, and on August 21 he lost the election to his Democratic Opponent who is also a large Bush Critic. He has since returned to his job as a Policeman in Long Beach.

Atlas Shrugs graced Political Pistachio Radio on August 11, 2007, with her presence. She continues to be one of the biggest bloggers out there.

Terry Funderburk told his story about how the illegal aliens are driving him out of business, and continues that fight.

Eagles Justin and Kit continue to blog and be involved with the Gathering of Eagles.

Walid Shoebat explained the dangers of Islam, explaining he understands it because he used to be an Islamic Terrorist, but now had converted to Christianity. Shortly after he visited Halls of Valhalla for a debate with a Christian that had converted to Islam.

Brian Nordval of the Loyalist Party went over the issues with us, and plans to have one of his presidential candidates on Political Pistachio Radio soon.

Andrea Shea King was a guest on Political Pistachio Radio and has been invited to speak at the Conservative Leadership Conference. She has since also asked me to host her Monday Night shows on Blog Talk Radio.

And quality shows are coming still on Wednesday nights at 10pm Eastern Time, and Saturday Nights at 7pm Eastern Time.

The Third of Three on GOEIII

Join us tonight on Political Pistachio Radio as we air our third installment dedicated to the Gathering of Eagles event last Saturday in Washington D.C.

Eagle Justin from Right on the Right will join us to tell us his tale of the trip on the way to Washington D.C., how it went while he was there, and a little story about "Malcom X and The Ninja" (a couple libtards they encountered while there).

Also, a few other Eagles may call in and tell their tales as well.

Tune in tonight at 7pm Pacific/10pm Eastern.

Gathering of Eagles Takes their positions in Washington D.C.

ANSWER, which in my opinion has the wrong answer, will be marching on Washington D.C. today in a massive anti-war/anti-military/anti-patriotism/anti-America march. They will be waving their black and yellow banners (rather than the red, white and blue of the Star Spangled Banner), and flags of other countries (more often than not the flags of nations the terrorists use as breeding grounds and training locations, as well as those of nations that openly sponsor Islamic Terror).

The Gathering of Eagles will be there to meet them head-on.

The Gathering of Eagles was formed to protect our monuments and memorials. Last January anti-military/anti-American morons from the far left (representing groups like ANSWER) urinated on the memorials in Washington D.C. and spray painted the steps of the Capitol. Last week vandals damaged the Vietnam War Memorial. This will not be tolerated, and the Eagles will be there to make sure these anti-American jerks won't cause more damage as they whine and cry their way through D.C. on their treasonous route.

Unfortunately, they will, as they have in the past, do despicable things like disrespect the American Flag and burn effigies of American Soldiers, but there will be an answer to ANSWER, and they are the Gathering of Eagles.

Kit Lange of Euphoric Reality will be one of those Eagles. She, with tens of thousands of others, will protect our memorials, and stand up for our troops, today in Washington D.C.

Then, she will call live into Political Pistachio Radio today at 8pm Eastern/5pm Pacific to tell us about the events. A few other Eagles may be calling in as well, such as Paul Couturier (Iraq War Veteran and host of Indepedently Correct Radio), and Justin of Right on the Right. Tune in, you won't want to miss this.

And we may even get to hear some of the rantings of a member or two of ANSWER - wouldn't that be good for a laugh.

A Special 9/11 - Gathering of Eagles Program tonight on Political Pistachio Radio

To listen to tonight's show, click HERE.

On my way to work a radio program played footage from 9/11 and I found myself weeping. I came home last night and spent time with my wife in silence. I was sent a video by a friend of the Palestinians celebrating after the World Trade Center attack. I watched it in silence.

The ensuing War on Terror has many battle fronts, and one of them is in Iraq.

General Petraeus was correct in his assessment. Any decision to bring American troops home from Iraq must be made from "strength and success, not fear and failure.

Tonight Paul Couturier will join me on Political Pistachio Radio at 7pm Pacific Time, 10 pm Eastern. I will begin my show with audio from 9/11. I will speak on my thoughts regarding that horrendous day. Paul will tell us his thoughts, as well, I am sure, as well as give us a little more insight on how important that battle in Iraq is in this War on Terror. Then we will turn our focus on The Gathering of Eagles Event.

The anti-military crowd, by the way, has struck again against our monuments to our heroes in Washington D.C. They damaged the Vietnam Wall. More wish to do the same on September 15, 2007.

Support The Eagles.

Gathering of Eagles on Political Pistachio!

First, if you missed the last show with Andrea Shea King as my guest, you missed a dandy of a program. Listen to it now! Not only was Andrea Shea King, host on Sunday nights on WDBO AM 580 on the Space Coast in Florida and fellow BTR host during the week, on her best game, but we also had on the air an Iraq War Veteran who will also be on Political Pistachio Radio this coming Wednesday to kick off my trio of Gathering of Eagles broadcasts.

On the day of Gathering of Eagles III Kit Lange, a coordinator for GOE, as well as fellow BTR host, will be reporting live on Political Pistachio Radio beginning at 5pm Pacific Time, 8pm Eastern. Walid Shoebat is today's guest on Political Pistachio Radio

Tune in to Political Pistachio Radio today, it will be worth it. Walid Shoebat is our guest. He is a former Islamic terrorist born within the culture of terrorism. As a young man he became a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and participated in acts of terror and violence against Israel. He was later imprisoned in the Russian Compound, Jerusalem's central prison for incitement and violence against Israel. He later entered the U.S. as a counselor for the Arab Student Organization at Loop College in Chicago and continued his anti-Israel activities and as a recruiter for Islam. He believed the PLO was too moderate at that time and chose to join the Muslim Brotherhood (forerunner of Hamas), and was training for Jihad in America. In 1993 Walid realized he was on the wrong side, and became an advocate for Israel, and against terrorism.

He will be on my program to discuss the dangers of Islamism, how we can fight back as a nation, and explain zip-lock virgins as first mentioned on Dr. Blogstein's radio program on August 14.

And as always, I encourage listener participation. Call in at (646) 652-2940, or Yahoo Instant Messenger me (ID: douglasvgibbs) to get in on the conversation while we are on live beginning at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern at Blog Talk Radio!

Terry Funderburk and Illegal Aliens

Terry Funderburk is a businessman who owns a roofing business in South Carolina. He understands more than most the damage that is being caused against Americans by illegal aliens running amok in our fine nation. He runs an honest business and is being put out of business because of companies hiring illegal aliens to do the same kind of work at “slave wages.”

Mad as hell, he decided to do something about it! He picketed the job site of one of his competitors, and was arrested for it.

Last Saturday he was on CNN to discuss his story. View the video of that HERE.

When I am not spending time with my family, the internet, or my radio show, I work in the construction industry. When I brought up Terry's story to my boss about how he feels his business is in jeopardy because paying legal wages to legal workers places him at a disadvantage, making it difficult to compete, my boss's response was, "That goes for half the construction companies in Southern California as well."

Terry is the new image of the American Worker. He took a stand, and was arrested for it. This is no longer a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. This current system is favoring those that are not even citizens by providing them with preferential treatment.

Terry says: “It is time to get angry, fellow Americans, it is time to get out of your homes and start setting things right again. It is time to vote out all of the bums who are profaning this great nation and to set her right again. It is time to take back our country.”

Terry Funderburk will be my guest on August 15th on Political Pistachio Radio
Tune in live, and call into the show to let your voice be heard! Be angry! Terry is correct! It is time to take back our country.

Atlas Shrugs on Political Pistachio

Atlas is one of us. She is a blogger with opinions, and a blogger that understands the danger of Islamic Terrorism. She is loud, brash, and to the point. She is Atlas.

And Political Pistachio Radio has her this Saturday. Tune in to listen live at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern - you may learn something.

An Iraq War Veteran Running for Congress on Political Pistachio Radio!

Today (Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 7pm Pacific Time/10pm Eastern Time) is a special mid-week edition of Political Pistachio Radio. Our guest will be John Kanaley. John is an Iraq War Veteran that actually voluntarily extended his tour so that he may serve in Baghdad. In 2003 he served for Central Command in Qatar and Iraq; in 2004 John served with the Theater Support Command in Kuwait with additional assignments in Iraq; In 2005 he served in Baghdad with the Civil-Military Operations to assist with the Iraqi elections as well as serving as a Team Chief for future plans in Strategy, Plans, and Assessments (SPA) with Multi-National Forces, Iraq (MNFI). His second tour ended in October 2006. The seat in the 37th Congressional District in California is vacant due to the death of Juanita Millernder-McDonald, who lost her battle with cancer in April. John Kanaley is campaigning as a Republican for the seat which will be decided by special election on August 21. In addition to his military career he has also served in the Long Beach Police Department with 16 years of service. His Army career spans over 22 years as active military, National Guard, and Reserves. In the Army he is a Lieutenant Colonel. His purpose for running for Congress, according to his site, is to add support in Congress for the War on Terror from somebody who served in Iraq, support the GOP in its effort to regain control of Congress in 2008, ensure the concerns of Long Beach, California are heard in Congress, make the tax cuts permanent, and promote business at all levels throughout his district.

Then on Saturday the wild and crazy (and great) Atlas Shrugs will grace us with her presence! We will talk with her about her V-logs, her experiences with past guests on her Blog Talk Radio show (such as Mark Steyn, Tom DeLay, Robert Spencer, and so on), and about the War on Terror! It will prove to be a fantastic broadcast - don’t miss Political Pistachio when Atlas Shrugs pays us a visit!

Sunday, August 5, 2007

Richard Michael Smith, John Kanaley, and Atlas Shrugs

Richard Michael Smith proved to be a fantastic guest - but was there a disagreement on Political Pistachio Radio? Doug and one of his listeners contacting the show by Yahoo Messenger decided that Richard's position regarding profiling was a little too much politically correct. Listen to hear the exchange.

This coming Wednesday is a special, mid-week broadcast of Political Pistachio Radio. Our guest will be Iraq War Veteran, and Congressional candidate, John Kanaley. Find out about his time in Iraq, and why he is going to be a part of a special election in the Los Angeles area that is going to be held August 21, 2007.

And next Saturday is the big one. A guest that will knock your socks off! That's right! Atlas Shrugs will be on Political Pistachio! You gotta listen - and see if you can keep up!

Sarah Palin

I have returned from the heat of Sin City unscathed, just in time to host my Blog Talk Radio Show, Political Pistachio Radio. Today's guest is Stephen R. Maloney who is one of the national coordinators for Sarah Palin for Vice-President on the Republican national ticket.

Steve is a former college teacher of English and a writer for many publications (including Fortune and the American Spectator). He wrote speeches for many large corporations and has been a political activist involved in many campaigns, starting with Newt Gingrich in the 70's and extending through the Diana Lynn Irey campaign last year.

Sarah Palin is the current Governor of Alaska (the 11th), and is youngest governor in Alaska's history, as well as the first female to hold the office. She is the former mayor of Wasilla, AK. Palin steadfastly maintains that she is a conservative, evidenced by her strong position on abortion (she is pro-life) and she opposes same-sex marriage.

Steve will be available to not only help us with learning about this fascinating candidate, but perhaps to also educated us on her stance regarding certain issues. And with a little luck, perhaps we will be able to get Sarah on the show in the near future as well.

Tune in to Political Pistachio today at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern to catch the show.

Sunday, July 22, 2007

James Gilmore and Sarah Palin

Yesterday's Political Pistachio Radio, which is now playing on the media player on this site if you are listening within a week of the broadcast, was a successful episode. Governor James Gilmore, one of the more influential members of the Republican Party, took time from his busy schedule to be a part of the program. We spoke with him about his recent withdrawal from the Presidential Race, as well as his position on a number of issues, including the war on terror and the immigration issue. Listener participation was amazing. I had a number of callers submit questions to Mr. Gilmore, and I also fielded a number of questions submitted by Yahoo Messenger. Thank you for the support.

By the way, BlogTalk Radio also posted a blog entry on the broadcast. This is the second time Political Pistachio has been recognized by the host network.

Thank you, my friends, for your support, and continued listenership of the show. The growth of the radio show has been tremendous, and that growth is due to you, the listeners.

Next Saturday on Political Pistachio Radio I will be joined by Stephen R. Maloney, who is one of the national coordinators for Sarah Palin for Vice-President on the Republican national ticket. As always, the live feed will air at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern.

Political Pistachio Gets Torpedoed!

Jeff Edwards is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer and an Anti-Submarine Warfare Specialist. He chased Soviet submarines during the Cold War, and launched cruise missiles in the Persian Gulf. His twenty-three year career spanned the globe. He is now an expert civilian consultant to the Naval Space Warfare Systems Center and the Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Command, the Navy's think tank for high-tech undersea warfare.

Jeff Edwards is also the author of Torpedo, a book with a plot ripped from today's headlines. Torpedo was the winner of the 2005 Admiral Nimitz Award for Outstanding Naval Fiction from the Military Writers Society of America (a writers organization I am also a member of). Jeff Edwards is a member of both the Military Writers Society of America, and the American Authors Association(of which I am also a member of as well!). Saturday, June 23, 2007 he will be my guest on Political Pistachio Radio to talk about his book (which combines an accident at a nuclear power plant, and illegal arms deal, and a biological warfare attack to ignite a crisis that would pull Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S. into an all-out war!), Torpedo, and the state of the art weaponry referred to in the book.

Tune in to the broadcast live at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern, or catch the archive later right here at Political Pistachio. Call in to the show to ask him questions (646) 652-2940, or Yahoo Instant Message me (ID: douglasvgibbs).

Sunday, 6pm Pacific, June 24th, 2007 I will be the guest on Independently Correct Radio hosted by Paul Couturier to discuss the ferocity of my recent blog posts, and the Gay Marriage initiatives in Massachusetts.

Tuesday, 4pm Pacific, June 26th, 2007 I will be the co-host of Triple Threat on Daniel Myers Live radio show to discuss current events, and challenge the liberals with some conservative wisdom.

As an added note, My Point Radio is not going to broadcast on Saturdays directly following PPR for a while. Their upcoming schedule is as follows:

Jun 25, 6:00PM Pacific, Jun 28, 5:00PM Pacific, Jul 2, 6:00PM Pacific, Jul 5, 5:00PM Pacific, Jul 9, 6:00PM Pacific.

Also, Jenn of the Jungle from Screw Liberals dot com has her own show on Sundays at 2pm Pacific, so give it a listen. It's a little wacky, a little hard hitting, and a whole lot of fun.

Wednesday at 6pm Pacific check out my good friend at Political Vindication

And Finally catch Andrea Shea King on BlogTalkRadio Monday through Thursday at 6pm Pacific Time, and join the chatroom for her show at www.askshow.com.

For the next week I will be at my little slice of heaven on the Oregon Coast - Gawfer's seen the pictures, he knows! Anyhow, be rest assured, I will still pay the local library a visit to post my articles, and check my e-mail! And those two shows I'm going to be a guest on will be from a wooden deck overlooking a marvelous landscape of American forest! Tune in to those two shows, you might hear a description of what I see, and why I'm there!

God Bless.
