Thursday of next week J.A. Konrath, author of the Jack Daniels Detective Series of books, will join me - on that day we will suspend all political discussion, and enjoy Konrath's unique brand of humor, as well as learn how he pulls off writing about a female character, in the first person, so effectively. A Special Morning Pistachio

Friday Morning Mrs. Pistachio and I return with a special morning broadcast at 8am Pacific/11am Eastern.

Then, on Saturday, Gary W. Moore joins Political Pistachio to discuss his book, Playing With The Enemy. How does it tie into the Nazi's Enigma Code?

Sunday will be the Personal Pistachio episode you all have been waiting for - the steamy "Summer of Love".

Wednesday we will welcome J.A. Konrath of the Jack Daniels Detective Series of books on Political Pistachio.

Thursday, the final day of January, Jonathan Bruce is the pen name of co-authors John Schumacher and Bruce Smith, retired U.S. Air Force veterans who, in their book, "Seventh Psalm", provide a behind the scenes perspective of the war against the Islamic Jihad. Their book, however, though hailed by mainstream publishers to be a great read, and a real page turner, was rejected because they will not publish "any book that glorifies Bush or his illegal wars!" Join us as we discuss the book, their brush with the left-wing censors of mainstream publishing, and the War on Terror. . . Political Pistachio!

Saturday, February 2nd, Political Pistachio will interview author James Houston Turner (The Identity Factor). Join us as we discuss with James his latest book, his own personal battle against cancer, and perhaps a little bit about politics while we are at it - including the War on Terror/Islamic Jihad.

Also on Saturday, February 2nd, will be the premiere of Founding Truth. On this show Loki and myself will explore history, and the Constitutional Truth meant by the Founding Fathers of this great nation. Episode one? The Constitutional Role of the Federal Government.

Separation of Church and State

Debate tonight on Political Pistachio - and the Constitutionality of the argument will be brought to light by regular listener and caller, Loki. As a Christian, I believe that the idea of a Separation of Church and State is misunderstood, and not Constitutional. My guest, Caday5 from Townhall, disagrees with me and plans to try to set me straight.

Oh, and of course we will talk about the New Hampshire Primary as well.

Tune in at 10pm Eastern tonight at Political Pistachio Radio!

Personal Pistachio - The Night We Met

A long time ago, in a city not far away, Mrs. Pistachio kissed Doug for the first time. It was the beginning of a love affair that continues today. But the road has not always been paved with gold. The beginnings were the first dips of a major roller coaster ride that nearly split the two apart many times, only to smooth out over the last few years.

Installment one of the relationship that people wish to learn more about will be broadcast over Political Pistachio Radio on Blog Talk Radio on Sunday, January 6, 2008 - 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific. No Politics. No discussions about Blogging. No mention of the War on the Islamic Jihad. The Sunday broadcasts are only personal - a journey through the years of The Pistachios.

The first episode is called: The Night We Met. Little did we know on that night that in less than three years we would be married, have a child, and I would die in an accident on my way to my Navy Sea-going Command. The night we met was the scene of our first dance, our first kiss, and the beginning of a rocky relationship that would nearly destroy our relationships with other people. . . and, the night we met was the night that a heart broke, and only a couple days before my heart broke as well. Tune in to find out - Personal Pistachio Debut.

And as an added note: I would like to thank all of the listeners for making Political Pistachio the third most listened to Conservative Show on Blog Talk Radio. Thank you. Your support makes it great.

A Tribute to Ronald Reagan, Debating the Debates, Iowa Caucus, Melissa Hart, and Personal Pistachio

On January 2, 2007 the Political Pistachio Radio Show began with a ten minute tribute to Ronald Reagan. Then, in anticipation of the Iowa Caucus, Mrs. Pistachio asked me, "What is a Caucus?" and "What's the difference between a Caucus and a Primary?" I attempted to answer the best I could, and received tremendous help from one of my listeners, a woman from Oregon that calls herself Flag Gazer. Then, the debate over the debates happened. Andrea Shea King gave a spirited argument regarding Fox News Channel's decision to disallow Hunter and Ron Paul to participate in the upcoming forum they plan to have - - - and MDConservative was not in agreement - - - and my opinion was somewhere in between.

On January 3, 2007 Pennsylvania 4th District Congressional Candidate Melissa Hart joined Political Pistachio Radio. The interview was fantastic (oh, and at the beginning of the show I cleared up the debate from the night before a little).

On January 5, 2007 The Wyoming Caucus and "After Iowa" will be discussed.

and Finally, on Sunday, January 6, 2007 Personal Pistachio will premiere. First episode? The night we met.
